About T.J.
T.J. Brightman offers 35 years in sales, marketing and advertising, working in pro sports through relationships with Major League Baseball and broadcast rights holders of the NFL, including his tenure with radio and television companies, Infinity Broadcasting, CBS Radio and Orioles Television. With expertise in executive management and corporate sales, he serves as Agency Principal of A. Bright Idea. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University College of Communications.
Prior to returning to the agency in 2025, T.J. held the role of Chief Revenue Officer for the Baltimore Orioles, part of two stints with the storied franchise beginning in 2003. In his front office role at the Orioles, Brightman focused on revenue generation and business operations including ticket and corporate sales, in-park assets, concessions, merchandise sales, digital media, radio and hospitality for the teams operations at Camden Yards in Baltimore and Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota. Beyond baseball, T.J. used his outside industry experience and relationships to support Orioles Entertainment by luring major concerts including Sir Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and other live events to Camden Yards. T.J. also created new corporate partnerships with the likes of PNC Bank, MedStar Health, BGE, Fanatics, Super Book Sports and T. Rowe Price securing a multi-year agreement with the global wealth management company as the team’s jersey patch partner.
As one of the principals at A. Bright Idea, T.J. collaborates with the firm’s team members in Maryland and California, supporting local and national accounts in both the federal and private sectors along with cultivating new business relationships. He previously served as President of the agency from 2015-2019 in additional to holding other leadership roles in the history of A. Bright Idea supporting his wife Anita, Founder and CEO.
T.J. is active on many local Boards and marketing committees in Maryland and California, lending his time to nonprofits and other philanthropic efforts.
